Invite a tenant

Applies to
  • Property managers
  • Administrators
Before you start
  • You can sign in to Belrald Assets
  • The unit or property the tenant occupies already exists

A tenant gets their own account, tied to the unit they occupy. From it they can report an issue and follow their tenancy — but they never see your internal work, your team, or other tenants. Tenants are invite-only: they can’t sign up on their own.

You invite a tenant from your property and leasing tools, not from the team list.

  1. Open the unit or tenancy the person occupies.
  2. Select Invite tenant.
  3. Enter the tenant’s Email.
  4. Confirm the Unit they’re being added to.
  5. Select Send invitation.
The Invite tenant panel on a unit, with the tenant's email entered and the unit reference shown, and the Send invitation button in focus.

The tenant gets an email letting them know they’ve been added at your organisation, with an Accept invitation button. They set a password and go straight to their tenant view — there’s no extra verification step to slow them down.

Tenants see plain, everyday language rather than your internal terms. When they flag a problem, it’s a maintenance request and the action is Report an issue — never a “work order”. Behind the scenes your team turns that request into a work order, but the tenant only ever sees the request and its progress.

Once a tenant accepts, they can report issues against their unit. Those come into your workspace as requests your team can review and act on.
