Staff Access

In the 'Staff Access' section, the university gains the ability to create and register staff members within the institution. By clicking 'Add Staff,' you're directed to a page where staff profiles can be established.

To successfully add a staff member, it is necessary to first create a designation, by clicking on the designated feature, as indicated in the accompanying picture. Once the designation has been created, you can proceed with the staff creation process without any hindrance.

One crucial detail to provide is the 'Organization Unit,' where you can specify the unit to which each staff member belongs.

If a staff member is designated as teaching staff, simply select the 'Faculty' option in that section. This choice unlocks additional options for specifying the department to which they are affiliated.

After entering all the required information, click 'Next' to review the inputted details and then proceed by clicking the 'Add Staff' button to register the staff.

After successfully creating a staff profile, to grant them access to their personal portal, navigate to the top of the page and click on the 'Actions' button. From the dropdown menu, select the 'Send Invite' button, and choose the 'Also Invite to Admin Portal' option, if you wish to grant them access to the administrative portal as well. This feature provides a convenient way to extend administrative privileges to the staff member, enabling them to access both the staff and administrative portals seamlessly

Once this step is completed, the staff member will receive an invitation via email and upon completion, the information for the added staff will be visible within this unit, and it is automatically categorized based on their employment status, distinguishing between teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and inactive staff. You can repeat this process to add as many staff members as needed for your institution.

Additionally, the platform allows for the editing and deletion of staff profiles, for administrative convenience.
