Settings
The settings within this unit encompass various features, including 'Academic standing,' 'Withdrawal list,' 'Probation list,' 'Cumulative credit units,' and 'Minimum promotion CGPA.'
However, it's important to note that before any modifications can be made here, users are required to configure the 'Class of Degree Settings' under the 'Exams and Records' section.
This means the template structure established in the 'Class of Degree Settings', will serve as the foundation for configuring units within this section. To initiate this setup, return to the dashboard, access the 'Exams and Records' unit, click on 'Settings,' and select 'Class of Degree Settings.' Complete the required information on the page, save your changes, and then navigate back to the 'Settings' under 'Students' to begin modifying your unit settings.
The first feature within this unit is 'Academic Settings,' where the criteria for students' good standing are established. Here, users are required to provide a message for the unit they are configuring, and a sample message is already provided in the input box as a reference. After this step, users can proceed to define the minimum CGPA that a student must maintain to be considered in good standing, across all academic levels. Once this information is entered, simply click on the 'Save' button to apply the changes.
Next up is the 'Withdrawal List.' In this section, users are tasked with setting the criteria for placing a student on the withdrawal list. This involves inputting a descriptive message, specifying the qualifying CGPA that warrants a student's placement on the withdrawal list across all units, and saving the updated criteria.
The 'Probation List' shares a similar process to 'Academic Settings' and the 'Withdrawal List.' Users must perform the same actions here, configuring the criteria as needed.
Moving on, there's the 'Cumulative Credit Units' section. Here, users establish the minimum and maximum cumulative units that students must have at the end of the first and second semesters, encompassing all academic levels. For each semester and level, users specify the total Cumulative Credit Units required for students to advance to the next level. After confirming that all conditions have been correctly set, users can save their settings.
Lastly, there's the 'Minimum Promotion CGPA,' which, as the name suggests, is where the minimum CGPA that students must attain to progress to the next academic level is determined.
Lastly is the Minimum Promotion CGPA, where just like the same implies, the Minimum CGPA students must have before they qualify for moving on to the next level is set.
